RiseReady · Updated 2 September 2026

RiseReady keeps what you write on your phone. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics or advertising software of any kind. The app makes no network requests of its own. The one exception is Apple's App Store, which iOS uses to check your subscription; that is described under Subscriptions below.

The short version

We do not collect your personal information. Your alarms, journal entries, intentions and settings are stored on your device. We cannot read them, because they are never sent to us, and the app does not talk to any server.

What is stored, and where

Everything the app records stays in its own storage on your iPhone, plus a shared container the app uses to talk to its widget:

  • Journal entries, including the question each one answered
  • Your daily intentions
  • Alarms, missions, sounds and schedules
  • Focus sessions
  • Lines you have saved or hidden, and your content preferences
  • Any photo you choose as a background

None of it is uploaded. Deleting the app removes all of it. Individual entries can be deleted inside the app at any time, and you can export your journal from Settings first if you want to keep it.

Microphone and speech

When a morning uses a spoken line, the app listens only while the alarm is ringing, and only to check that you said it.

Speech recognition runs entirely on your device. The app requires on-device recognition, and if your device cannot provide it the feature turns itself off rather than sending audio anywhere. Audio is not recorded, not saved, and not transmitted.

If you decline microphone access, the app is still fully usable: it asks you to tap each word of the line instead.

Camera

The camera is optional. It is used as a live mirror during movement missions, so you can see your form. Nothing from it is recorded, saved or uploaded.

Photos

Two separate things, both on your device:

  • You can pick a photo from your library to use as a background. It is chosen through Apple's photo picker, which hands the app that one image and nothing else, and it stays on your phone.
  • When you tap save on a card you have made, the app asks permission to add that one image to your photo library. It only ever adds; it does not read your library.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app whether a subscription is active. We never see or handle your payment details. Billing questions and cancellations are managed in your Apple Account settings.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, logins or profiles
  • No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking
  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
  • No third-party software development kits of any kind
  • No location access
  • No network requests of our own. Nothing you write or say is transmitted.
  • No selling or sharing of personal information, because none is collected

Children

RiseReady is not directed at children under 13, and because the app collects no personal information, none is collected from children either.

Your choices

Every permission the app asks for can be refused or withdrawn at any time in the iPhone's Settings, and the app keeps working without them. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and a meaningful change will be described in the app's release notes.
