Support
Email ckipp01@gmail.com and say which iPhone you are using and what happened. Screenshots help. You can also send it from inside the app, under Settings, then Support, which fills in your version for you.
The alarm did not go off
Almost always one of three things.
- Check the alarm is switched on in the Alarms tab.
- Check RiseReady is allowed to break through a Focus or Sleep Focus, in iPhone Settings under Focus.
- Check you have not force-quit the app from the app switcher. A force-quit stops a scheduled alarm on iOS, and no app can work around that.
RiseReady uses Apple's own alarm system, so it rings through Silent and through a Focus. It does need alarm permission. If you declined that when you first set the app up, iPhone Settings, then RiseReady, will let you turn it back on.
It will not listen to me
Speech recognition runs entirely on your iPhone, and a few older devices cannot do that. If yours cannot, or if you declined the microphone, the app asks you to tap each word of the line instead. Nothing is lost, and the alarm still stops when you finish.
I want a different line, or fewer of them
Thumb a line down and it stops appearing anywhere. Everything you have hidden is listed in Settings, then Hidden affirmations, and one tap puts any of it back. Thumb a line up and it is saved to Settings, then Saved lines.
To change the kinds of lines you get, open Settings and tap Morning style.
I want different journal questions
Settings, then Journal prompts. Pick the categories you want, open one to see the styles inside it, and open a style to read every question in it. You can edit any question, hide it, or write your own.
A question you hide moves to a Hidden section at the bottom of its style, so you can always put it back. There is also a thumbs-down beside the question while you are writing, which hides it and gives you another.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes. Tap the picture button on your line, then Your photos. They stay on this phone like everything else.
Why does the widget show a different line than the app?
The widget rotates through your lines on its own schedule, and the app shows one pick for the whole day. Tapping the widget opens the line it is showing, so the two never disagree about what you just read.
Where does my writing live?
On your iPhone, in the app's own storage. There is no account, no server and no sync. Nothing you write is uploaded, and we could not read it if we wanted to. Speech is matched on the device while you talk and nothing is recorded, which is why the alarm works with no signal.
Delete the app and everything goes with it, because there is no copy anywhere else. Export your journal from Settings first if you want to keep it. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Managing your subscription
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us.
- To cancel: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then RiseReady, then Cancel Subscription. That is the only place it can be done, and we have no way to do it for you.
- Refunds: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase. If it was an accident, say so.
- Restore: tap Restore purchases on the paywall, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it on.
- Family Sharing: not supported. The subscription covers the one Apple Account that bought it, so each person needs their own.
A free trial renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. That 24 hours is Apple's billing rule, not ours.
